'Dabangg 3' vs 'Simmba': Salman, Ranveer set for mega clash

2018 will witness one of the biggest clashes in Bollywood as Salman Khan's 'Dabangg 3' and Ranveer Singh's 'Simmba' will lock horns on December 28.
Media reports have it that Bhai is keen on having two releases this year.
With 'Race 3' already slated to release on Eid, Salman wants to end the year with the third installment of his much-loved 'Dabangg' franchise.
First clash for Salman in years
Details
If neither of the two films back out, then this will be the first clash for Salman in recent times.
The superstar has been fortunate to get solo releases thus far.
As far as Ranveer is concerned, this will his second major clash in the last three years.
His 'Bajirao Mastani' had collided with Shah Rukh starrer 'Dilwale' in 2015 and emerged the winner.
Both the films have similar themes
Context
What makes this clash even more interesting is the fact that both 'Dabangg 3' and 'Simmba' are masala entertainers with their storylines revolving around a cop.
Also, the films are arriving just a week after Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma starrer 'Zero', which will then make it a three-way battle at the box office.
2018 will certainly end on a high note.
