(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Parking at the new Muscat International Airport will be at a premium now with Oman Airports hiking the fares.
The parking fee for the first half an hour will be 500bz, going up to RO2 for an hour. At the old airport, the parking fee for the first hour was 500bz, and thereon 500bz was added for every 30 minutes.
The long-term parking fee too has been more than doubled. It is chargeable at RO7 for the first day, RO13 for the second day and RO20 for the third day. 'After third day, each additional day will cost RO5,' stated Oman Airports.
Earlier, passengers using the long-term parking were charged RO3 for the first 24 hours, RO4 for the second day, RO5 for the third day, RO6 for the fourth day and it was RO7 from the fifth day onwards.
The parking capacity at the new airport has been expanded manifold and will be able to accommodate up to 8,000 cars at a time.
