Jordan- Gendarmerie director receives Japanese ambassador

Amman, March 20 (Petra) - The Director General of the Gendarmerie Department, Major General Hussein Mohammad Al-Hawatmeh, discussed with Japanese Ambassador to the Kingdom Hidenao Yanagi, ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two sides.
During the meeting, Major General Hawatmeh stressed the strong relations between Jordan and Japan, pointing out the importance of joint security cooperation between the two sides, especially regarding the exchange of technical and training expertise.
For his part, Yanagi praised the advanced level the gendarmerie has reached at the local and international levels, expressing his country's keenness to strengthen relations with Jordan's Gendarmerie Department to achieve the common interests of the two friendly countries.
