Democrats urged to run suitable candidates in midterm elections

(MENAFN) Democrats were urged to put forward candidates who confirmed to meet the standards of each district they are running for during the 2018 midterm elections.

The statement has been made by former Democratic National Committee chairman Ed Rendell during an interview with New York AM 970 radio host John Catsimatidis.

The former governor of Pennsylvania noted "our progressive wing has got to understand that the country is made up of many different districts. And each state has different values and different traditions."

Rendell then stressed that "we've got to run candidates who fit the values of that district in that state."
