Kuwait, Philippines to regulate work of domestic helpers in contract


(MENAFN) The Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported both Kuwait and Philippines to have inked a draft contract for the regulation of domestic helpers' work.

The agreement follows talks that were held between Kuwaiti ministerial delegation and Filipino authorities, as confirmed by the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Consulate Affairs Sami Al-Hamad.

The foreign ministry undersecretary also explained the agreement to work on guaranteeing the rights of employers together with employees.

He also confirmed Kuwait to have demanded for employment opportunities to be re-created for Kuwaiti agencies, more particularly Al-Durra company.
