Kuwait National Ice Hockey Team hold training camp

(MENAFN- Arab Times) Kuwait National Ice Hockey Team Saturday participated in a local training camp in preparation for the Asian Ice Hockey Championship, which will kick off on April 3 in Manila, the Philippines with the participation of five teams.

Chairman of Kuwait Winter Games Club Fuhaid Al-Ajmi declared that the club deliberately organized the camp to ensure the team is fully prepared for the tournament, indicating that the camp will continue until the team are ready to depart for playing in the championship in the Philippines.

He stated that the camp is an opportunity for the Czech Coach Arnost Bafil to experiment his attack and defense techniques and plans for the four matches to be played against Singapore, Thailand, Mongolia and the host nation- the Philippines.

Al-Ajmi explained that the club prefers not to embark on foreign training camps for the tournament, because the players are in good form physically and technically after the World Cup preliminaries played in Bosnia and Herzegovina in end of February. They went on a long foreign training camp ahead of the preliminaries and had performed well thereof.
