UNICEF lauds UAE's Emirati Children's Day
ABU DHABI, 17th March, 2018 (WAM) -- The UNICEF Gulf Area Office, GAO, has praised the UAE's celebration of Emirati Children's Day, initiated by H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation.
In a statement, UNICEF GAO congratulated the UAE, adding that assigning 15th March as Emirati Children's Day by the Ministerial Council for Development, and the enactment of the Wadeema Act, reflect the leadership's vested interest in abiding by the Convention on the Rights of the Child to the highest of levels.
