Two police officers were injured after a drunk man grabbed one of the officers' guns from his holster and fired three shots at them in Shatin, in Hong Kong's New Territories, in the early hours of Thursday.
At 5:30am, police officers went to a flat on the 19th floor of Kwong Lam Court, in Siu Lek Yuen, to deal with a family dispute, police commissioner Stephen Lo Wai-chung told media as he visited the injured officers at the hospital.

When the officers arrived at the flat, a 29-year-old man inside – who is said to have been drunk – became animated. The officers tried to subdue him by talking to him but he suddenly grabbed the gun of one of the officers and fired three shots.
One officer was shot in his right arm and leg. Another was injured after a bullet scratched his leg.
Both officers were sent to the Prince of Wales Hospital. They are in a stable condition.
The suspect was arrested by other officers at the scene. He has been detained by police.
Lo said investigators would find out how the suspect managed to grab the gun from a police holster. The crime unit of the New Territories South police district is investigating the case.
Oriental Daily reports that it is understood the suspect had quarreled many times with his mother over the sale of the flat.
