Russia arrests 60 suspects in transportation people to Syria, Iraq


(MENAFN) 60 alleged members of an organization behind transportation of people to Syria and Iraq have been arrested by Officers of the Federal Security Service (FSB) and the Interior Ministry over taking part in fights on the side of the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist organization banned in Russia, the FSB press-service reports.

According to FSB, law enforcement agencies stopped activity of a criminal group operating in the Moscow Region and Moscow, which, in addition to transportation of ISIS supporters, also organized unlawful legalization of immigrants from Central Asia.

During the searches three laboratories for production of forged documents, related equipment and passports of foreign countries were found.
