Qatar- QIC team participates in QU's career fair

Doha: In a pursuit to attract Qatari talent, Qatar Insurance Group (QIC), the MENA region's leading insurance group, participated in the twelfth edition of the Education City Career Fair organised by Qatar University.

Through its participation for the second time in a row, QIC Group interacted with the students and introduced the fields of insurance, reinsurance and the rewards of being associated with a global brand.

During the four-day event, senior HR officials from QIC Group briefed students about the company, its global presence and wide spectrum of innovative products and services it offers.

Through an informative presentation, the officials highlighted the potential for growth and career development in the (re)insurance space.

Commenting on this, Abdulla Al Mulla, Group Chief Administrative Officer, QIC Group, stated, 'QIC Group's participation at the career fair forms an integral part of the Group's strategy for attracting human capital. We firmly believe in identifying local talent and investing in sharpening their capabilities to make them highly-skilled insurance professionals. Besides assisting them with building competencies, we want to encourage and empower them to spearhead departments.

The career fair serves as an ideal platform to connect with young, ambitious Qatari students and identify the future torchbearers whose unique contribution will help Qatar Insurance and Qatar achieve the Qatar National Vision (QNV) 2030.

With an aim to empower its local staff and facilitate career growth in line with the future needs of Qatar's promising insurance market, QIC Group has been conducting several training and development programmes.
