Doha: Qatar Charity has opened five new branches in Muaither, Al Khor and Al Wakra to work more closely with the Qatari community and facilitate an easy access to donors in their places of residence in order to make their contributions easily.
With the inauguration of new branches, the number has risen to 25 branches, including 16 branches for men and nine branches for women across different areas of the country.
Mutab Al Marri, Executive Director of Financial Services at Qatar Charity, said: 'The opening of these new branches will help serve the community easily by simplifying the donation procedures for citizens and residents, quickly completing their transactions and receiving donations using the best means.
He added that the new branches will receive cash and in-kind donations, noting that collecting the resources required for the activities and projects of Qatar Charity, both inside and outside the country, is one of its most important activities.
He also pointed out that the cash and in-kind collection outlets of different types, scattered all over the country, are the mainstay of Qatar Charity to bring in the resources and revenues necessary to implement its humanitarian projects, programs and activities across the globe.
Qatar Charity has a wide network throughout the country to collect cash and in-kind donations, which includes Al Azizia branch, Al-Markhia branch, Al Kharitiyat branch, Al-Ruwais branch and many other branches located in Al Wakra, Rayyan, Al Khor, and Al Gharafa.
Qatar Charity also has more than 162 collectors of donations and alms, and there are more than100 collection offices and points to receive donors and philanthropists across the country, which are located in hospitals, shopping centers, commercial complexes and markets as well as it has 1350 donation boxes throughout the country.
