Russian hypersonic missile successfully test launches
(MENAFN) Russia's defense ministry has declared a hypersonic air-to-surface missile to have been test launched by the Russian air force successfully.
In its statement, the ministry confirmed a Mig-31 fighter jet to have launched the missile, as it reached its selected mark.
The ministry announced in the statement "MiG-31 jet of the Russian Aerospace Forces conducted a test launch of hypersonic aviation and missile system Kinzhal in a set district."
It then affirmed "the launch was successful, the hypersonic missile hit the designated target at the field."
