Kuwait- KUNA chief welcomes visit of APS Director General
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, March 11 (KUNA) -- KUNA's Chairman and Director General of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) and President of the Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA) Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Sabah welcomed Sunday the visit of Director General of the Algerian Press Service (APS) Abdelhamid Kacha and his accompanying delegation.
The two counterparts will discuss means of enhancing cooperation between the KUNA and APS to cover various fields, as well as exchange views and ideas on media-related issues; Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij said in a statement.
Sheikh Mubarak explained that the talks would also include activation of the cooperation agreement signed between the two agencies and enhance their prospects in line with media developments.
Sheikh Mubarak also stressed the importance of constant consultation and coordination between officials in the Arab news agencies to develop ideas and meet future challenges.
He also pointed out to the importance of investing in technological development as means of communication in order to enhance the role of media in serving the community. (end) fa.ss
