Oman- PACA opens Air Navigation Radar Project in Salalah


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Public Authority of Civil Aviation (PACA) last week inaugurated the Air Navigation Radar Project at Salalah Airport under the patronage of Dr Mohammed bin Nasser al Zaabi, CEO of PACA.

The cost of the project exceeded RO5mn and it reflects the attention given by the government to the development of the civil aviation sector.

The project consists of two radar systems - a primary three-dimensional radar that scans the airspace and identifies flying objects within 100 nautical miles, and one that is capable of monitoring and the movement of aircraft within 250 nautical miles from the airport.
