Iran to allocate USD3bn credit line for Iraq reconstruction


(MENAFN) Iran is reportedly prepared for a USD3 billion credit line to be invested in Iraq's rebuilding that appeared to be necessary after the war.

Citing Iranian first Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri, reports said the credit line to be offered in order that "Iranian companies and its private sector can have a more serious cooperation in rebuilding Iraq."

The first vice president also asked for economic ties to be strengthened between Iraq and Iran in various fields, including power, gas and oil sectors.

He then urged "we must make efforts to increase the level of bilateral economic trade to above 7 billion dollars."
