Kuwait- NCCAL official opens 29th Future Generations Festival


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) By Shahad Kamal KUWAIT, March 10 (KUNA) -- Supervisor of child culture dept. of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) Maryam Salmin said Saturday 29th Future Generations Festival aims to foster the talents of children and promote their culture.

The festival, organized NCCAL under the patronage of Minister of Information Mohammad Al-Jabri at Al-Tahrir Theater in Kaifan Area, lasts until March 23.

Speaking to KUNA on the fringes of the opening ceremony, Salmin said the agenda of the event includes several theatrical and singing performances, symposiums and workshops.

She invited parents to event to share the joy with their children.

The ceremony featured a performance themed "Kids Island Area" produced by Abdulaziz Behbehani.

The performance has a lot of underlying noble values and highlights the importance education and culture, Behbehani said.

It portrays the suffering of a number of illiterate children living on an island with no access to education, he added. (end) shd.gb
