Kuwait- Cabinet urges to prepare list of replaceable expats

(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, March 10: The Cabinet has issued urgent directives to all ministries, asking them to prepare detailed reports concerning the number of positions occupied by expatriates and to identify who among them can be replaced by Kuwaiti employees, reports Al- Anba daily.

According to informed sources, the directives included the launch of a number of procedures that will obligate the private sector to attract Kuwaiti employees for the Kuwaitization of jobs in administrative, human resources, public relations and reception sector. The procedures will be enforced within the next five years. Each ministry will have a specific schedule to complete the procedures based on their nature. The sources revealed that the planning of the procedures started in 2017 and they were enforced in 2018.
