Kuwait holds 9th walkathon

KUWAIT, March 10 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Walkathon's 9th edition, "friends of hearts," was organized on Saturday under sponsorship and attendance of Minister of Health Sheikh Dr. Bassel Al-Sabah.
The race, organized by the Chest Diseases Hospital, was held at Al-Shuwaikh seaside district. Participants represented the blood bank, Kuwait Cardiac Society and Kuwait University.
Among the walkers, including veteran athletes and old citizens, was Sheikha Arwad Al-Sabah. The minister inaugurated an exhibition held on its sidelines. (end) as.rk
