Kuwait- Info Min. participates in 7th Arab Media Forum for Youth in Cairo


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, March 9 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Information Minister Mohammad Al-Jabri headed to Cairo on Friday to attend and participate in the opening ceremony and meetings of the Seventh Arab Media Forum for Youth.

Al-Jabri said prior to his departure that Kuwait attaches great importance to the youth, praising the support of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for them, which resulted in the establishment of a ministry specialized for their affairs.

The establishment of the Ministry of State for Youth Affairs in 2013 came to ensure the development and participation of this segment of society and enable them to assume leadership positions, he added.

The Minister said plans and programs put by Kuwait to help the youth develop their talents and innovations resulted in choosing Kuwait to be the Capital of Arab Youth for the year 2017. This encouraged (our) youth to take up bigger responsibilities towards more work and achievement.

He pointed out that the Forum will focus this year on young Arabs working or seeking job opportunities in the field of media, and ways to increases their experiences, refining their talents.

The Forum will be held on March 10-11 under the patronage of Arab League Secretary General Ahmad Abul-Gheit. (end) sss.ysa.nhq
