
Kuwait- Managerial positions for only holders of university degrees
KUWAIT CITY, March 8: Director General of the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) Mubarak Al-Jafour issued an administrative circular on granting work permit for managerial position only to applicants who hold university degree or higher, reports Al-Shahid daily.
Al-Jafour clarified no such work permit will be issued to those whose degrees are lower than the university level, except those who were appointed to this position before Jan 1, 2011. He added the circular will take effect on May 1, 2018.
The recent proposal to amend the rate of national labor in the private sector is being studied by Manpower and Government Restructuring Program (MGRP) and will be referred to the Cabinet, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting informed sources. They said they are expecting a decision in this regard to be issued and implemented this year, adding that the new rate of national labor in the private sector could range from one percent to six percent for positions most preferred by citizens
