Pakistan- PSL: Gladiators beat Kings by 67 runs


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR: Quetta Gladiators defeated Karachi Kings by 67 runs in a one-sided match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Dubai on Thursday.

Gladiators scored 180 runs for the loss of four wickets after they were invited to bat first by Karachi Kings. Opener Shane Watson was top scorer with 90 runs, while Kevin Pietersen's scored 52. Kings only scored 113 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted overs as Gladiators' bowling attack did not allow Kings to dominate the game in the second innings of the game either. Imad Wasim was top scorer with 35 runs, while Babar Azam scored 32 runs. Rahat Ali and Anwar Ali took two wickets each.

Shane Watson was declared player of the match.

Gladiators moved to second position on the points table after Thursday's victory, while Kings moved to fourth place. Multan Sultans are leading the table, Islamabad United are placed fourth, while Lahore Qalandars are languishing at bottom after facing six consecutive defeats.

In an earlier match, Islamabad United handed Lahore Qalandars their sixth consecutive defeat in the PSL-3.

In today's (Friday) matches, Multan Sultans will face Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United will take on Peshawar Zalmi.
