UAE- Hamdan bin Rashid meets President of Jordan's Senate

AMMAN, 7th March, 2018 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, on Wednesday met the President of the Jordanian Senate, Faisal Al Fayez, at the Senate headquarters.

Al Fayez welcomed the visit of Sheikh Hamdan and his accompanying delegation while praising the strong fraternal relations between the UAE and Jordan in his speech. He also appreciated the stance of the UAE's President, government, people and charitable and humanitarian organisations towards Jordan to enable the county to provide a dignified life for the Syrian refugees in Jordan.

He added that the Syrian refugees receive all kinds of support from the Emirati charitable and humanitarian organisations, which has had a significant impact to alleviate the burden on Jordan to provide a secure life for them.

Al Fayez also wished that the coming stage would witness wider co-operation between the two countries in the investment sector, stressing that Jordan opens its doors to Emirati investors in their second country.

In turn, Sheikh Hamdan expressed his happiness at visiting Jordan and meeting King Abdullah II of Jordan and other Jordanian officials. He also emphasised the support of the UAE for Jordan to carry out the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Force.
