(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) LONDON, March 7 (KUNA) -- British Minister for the Middle East Alistair Burt called Wednesday for uniting international efforts and coordinate with communication companies to confront the idealogy spread by the so-called Islamic State (IS).
In a statement to KUNA and Kuwait State Television, Burt made his remarks on the sideline of International Coalition group meeting in London.
Burt added the international group, which represent 75 countries, held a meeting last night to find a mechanism to confront the extremist idealogy and terror.
Burt noted that IS has been defeated in Iraq and Syria, but its still essential to defeat its idealogy that is being spread over the internet.
The British official said that many large communication companies and social network sites participated in this gathering to get experience and skills needed to stop the spread of IS propapaganda in the internet. (end) kd.mb
