DAKAR, 6th March, 2018 (WAM) -- Moustapha Niasse, President of Senegal's National Assembly, received on Monday, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, held in the context of His Highness' official visit to Senegal, the two sides discussed means of enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries, especially in the trade, investment and parliamentary sectors.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed affirmed the UAE's drive to enhance ties with Senegal across various fields of cooperation.
Niasse welcomed Sheikh Abdullah's visit, emphasising the importance of strengthening parliamentary ties with the UAE, among other sectors. He also praised the cultural and development renaissance witnessed by the UAE, and its leading position in the regional and global spheres.
Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, and Mohammed Salem Al-Rashidi, UAE Ambassador to Senegal, also attended the meeting.
