Kuwait aids religious department in Bahrain
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) MANAMA, March 6 (KUNA) -- The State of Kuwait on Tuesday presented KD 223,000 (USD 740,000) to Bahrain's Sunni Awqaf department.
The financial aid was handed over by the State of Kuwait Ambassador to the kingdom, Sheikh Azzam Al-Sabah, during a reception of Dr. Rashed Al-Hajri, the head of the local Sunni awqaf.
The Kuwaiti embassy issued a statement quoting the ambassador as saying that this aid depicted Kuwait's leading role in backing UP philanthropy a the regional and international levels. (end) hmd.rk
