Qatar's service group to make major investment for efficiency


(MENAFN) Qatar's Gulf International Services (GIS) was declared by its chairman of the board of directors to be considering an investment of QR1.5 billion in the following 5 years.

The aim behind most of the investments was said to be boosting efficiency along with declining operating expenses in order for the group to keep its status as a competitive in the market.

Chairman Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Thani stated "the capital expenditure relating to the new opportunities arising from the potential growth strategy implementation will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, the details of which will be made available to shareholders."

He added "I am optimistic about the future performance of GIS in the medium and long run. There are a number of opportunities which are potentially available to GIS in the immediate future."
