Jordan, India sign trade cooperation agreement
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, March 5 (Petra)-Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC) and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and industry (FICCI) signed an agreement at the level of private sector to enhance economic cooperation to achieve mutual economic benefits.
Nael al-Kabariti, Chairman of the JCC, and Ambika Sharma, Secretary General of the FICCI, penned the agreement on the sidelines of the Jordanian-Indian Business Forum, recently held in capital New Delhi, and aims to foster trade cooperation and to boost joint investments and enterprises.
According to the document, both sides exchange relevant information on amendments of economic and customs laws, in addition to spurring reciprocal visits of businesspeople and technical experts.
The bill also calls for setting up a Jordanian-Indian board as a joint liaison of business communities in the two countries.
To achieve this bid, the two sides pledge to extend necessary assistance to institutions, businesspeople, and companies and to help ensure their participation in global and national fairs held in Jordan or India.
