Border guards in southern regions arrest 22 smugglers of illegal drugs

Riyadh, Jumada II 17, 1439, March 05, 2018, SPA -- The border guards in the southern regions (Jazan-Najran-Asir) have managed to thwart several attempts to smuggle quantities of cannabis and heroin drugs, during the past week.
The official spokesman of the border guards said 22 smugglers were arrested while trying to smuggle illegal drugs from Yemen. 11 of them were Ethiopians, 10 from Yemen and a Saudi national. 356.1 kg of narcotic hashish and 42 kg of heroin were seized in their possession.
