Turkish police arrest twelve Islamic state suspects


(MENAFN) Police arrested twelve suspects of the Islamic state militants in Ankara as they seek another eight, a Turkish prosecutor's office.

The chief prosecutor declared that police captured the suspects, whom all foreigners, during a mission but he didn't give any further information about their nationalities.

He added that they were detained for the attempt of luring people to the extremist group and reportedly were communicating with people in "conflict zones."

The arrests were coincidental with the closure of the US embassy in Ankara for unclear security threat.
