China to counter US if tariffs inflict economic damage

(MENAFN) China has threatening to strike back the US in case its economy was inflicted with damage, even though it does not wish for a trade clash.

The statement has been made by the spokesperson for China's National People's Congress, Zhang Yesui.

The warning follows President Trump declaration of his plan to impose tariffs on imports of steel and aluminum.

President Trump has also warned of tax on imports of cars from the EU, leading for condemnation from the IMF and the WTO.
