Kuwait- Move to curb spread of occult practices, infidelity in society


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, March 3: Ministry of Education has intensified measures to enforce tough regulations to curb the spread of occult practices and infidelity in the Kuwaiti society, in cooperation with the parliamentary committee tasked with studying negative phenomena, reports Al-Anba daily.

The ministry recently received the second report of the parliamentary committee concerning the issue. The report included a proposal from MP Muhammad Hayef stipulating tough regulations in fighting the negative phenomenon amid directives from relevant authorities to increase awareness among the youth and families on the devastating effects of the occult.

Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Hamed Al-Azmi received and referred the report to the Undersecretary of Ministry of Education Dr Haitham Al- Athari and concerned sectors for study.

The committee also listened to opinions and suggestions from concerned official bodies, including the Ministry of Education represented by social workers and psychologists. It is noteworthy the ministry organizes training courses for social workers and psychologists in this concern.
