Turkish airstrikes kill 4 PKK members in northern Iraq
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ISTANBUL, March 1 (KUNA) -- Four members of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) were killed during airstrikes carried out by the Turkish air force in northern Iraq, said a statement by Turkey's military Thursday.
The statement added that the airstrikes were carried out in reaction to the PKK targeting of Turkish troops and bases in northern Iraq.
The PKK resumed operations against Turkey in 2015 after three years of relative peace. The US, the EU, and Turkey recognize the party as a terror group. (end) to.gta
