The ban on domestic work in Kuwait may be extended to other countries in the Middle East if they fail to demonstrate that Philippine nationals are being protected, Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III said.

Bello said deployments were likely to be prohibited in countries with frequent cases of abuse and maltreatment of Filipino workers, reported.
'The minimum demand of President Rodrigo Duterte is that we will only deploy in countries where our workers are properly and effectively protected,' he said.
