Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission's chief commissioner Farouq Hiari has announced an increase on payment per kilowatt-hour from USD0.017 to USD0.019.

Jordan has recorded in the last three months an increase in crude oil barrel's average price to USD66.2 per barrel, going beyond the USD55 limit.

Chief commissioner Hiari declared "the increase will affect all economic sectors including the industrial and households. But households that consume 300 kWh and less will not witness any increase in their bills."
