Jordan- King meets Indian Foreign Minister


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) New Delhi, Feb. 28 (Petra) - His Majesty King Abdullah II on Wednesday met with Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj for a discussion on ways to enhance cooperation between Jordan and India as well as regional and international developments.

King Abdullah emphasized the importance of maintaining coordination and consultation between the two countries on various issues of mutual interest, saying Jordan is keen to promote relations with India in economic, investment, trade and defense domains.

They also discussed efforts to find political solutions to Middle East crises, as well as the war on terror within a comprehensive strategy.

In this regard, His Majesty stressed the importance of India's role in supporting efforts to reach political solutions to regional crises, enhance security and stability and combat terrorism and extremism.

In turn, the Indian Foreign Minister commended Jordan's pivotal efforts, spearheaded by His Majesty the King, to bring about security and stability in the Middle East and the world.
