Israeli forces destroy houses in Central Jordan Valley


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Ramallah, Feb. 28 (Petra) -- Israeli occupation bulldozers accompanied by a military force, early Wednesday demolished retaining walls, agricultural facilities, and gas stations Hizma town northeast of occupied Jerusalem under the pretext they lack building permits, Palestinian sources said.

Also today, Israeli troops handed Palestinians living in Al-Jiftlik village in Central Jordan Valley of demolition orders. The demolition orders come after more than 3 weeks of blockade imposed by the Israeli occupation authorities on the village, which constituted a collective punishment against the Palestinians .

The Israeli forces also notified residents of Al-Jiftlik village of demolition orders for houses and barracks claiming they were built without license, the head of the village council, Ahmed Ghawanmeh said in a statement .
