Kuwaiti medical team visit Syrian refugee camps

(MENAFN) On Wednesday, Kuwait's voluntary team "Shefaa" completed a four-day voluntary mission to Jordan where it gave medical treatment to hundreds of Syrian refugees in the Kingdom.

This 15th trip started by the team coincided with Kuwait's National Days and witnessed a "new humanitarian achievement," specifically offering treatment to 910 Syrians in the Kingdom, among them many children, women and old people, member of the team Dr. Bashar Al-Hashash told KUNA as said.

The camps of Al-Zaatari and Al-Azraq close to the Syrian borders were covered during the trip as well as other areas randomly occupied by the Syrian refugees, Al-Hashash added.

Alongside offering aid to 450 refugee families, eight surgeries were performed in one of Amman hospitals, besides donating USD15,000 and medications to support some clinics.

Praising the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry and the embassy in the Jordanian capital for streamlining the trip, Al-Hashash highly appreciated the Kuwaiti Zakat House and benefactors for their support. He also thanked.
