Sudan, Egypt to resolve border dispute
(MENAFN) The border dispute over the Halayeb and Shalateen area has come to time where Egypt and Sudan agreed on not to escalate it, Sudan Tribune reported, citing Sudanese foreign minister Ibrahim Ghandour.
Ghandour added that the two sides will cooperate to reinforce their bilateral relations.
He highlighted the fact that Cairo and Khartoum shall resolve the dispute through negotiations or international arbitration.
Egypt refuses the second option and instead suggests that Halayeb Triangle turns into an integrated Egyptian Sudanese area, the minister noted.
