Oman- Al Aman Rehabilitation Centre provides services to 384 disabled: MoSD


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Ministry of Social Development (MoSD) has said that Al Aman Rehabilitation Centre provided services to 384 people with various disabilities.

'The centre offers services to people with physical, mental and partial disabilities. The centre's diagnostic unit handled 73 cases, Al Aman unit handled 125 cases and Al Wafa unit handled 186 cases,' the ministry said on its Twitter account.

MoSD said that Al Wafa unit supported newborns and teenagers until the age of 15, while Al Aman unit handles cases of those above 15 with partial or multiple disabilities. The ministry said that the most important services provided by the centre are physiotherapy, functional therapy, articulation treatment, special education, behaviour amendment and life skills.

'The centre prepares people for integration in educational, training and rehabilitation institutions according to their abilities and skills.'
