Bahrain: Alba to raise final debt amount for Line 6 expansion project
(MENAFN) Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) was revealed to be boosting the final debt amount that is required to finance its Line 6 expansion plan, with the raise expected by the end of 2018 first quarter.
Alba is to raise through the project the capacity of production up to 540,000 metric tonnes to an overall capacity of 1.5 million tonnes per year.
The spending amount of Line 6 reached about USD3 billion, with USD1.5 billion financed by a syndicated loan that was generated in 2016.
The rest of the capital expenditure had USD400 million financed internally, while USD700 million was generated in 2017 by loans which export credit agencies guaranteed.
