Paraguay raises health alert on dengue following two more deaths


(MENAFN) The ministry of public health in Paraguay has declared a health emergency after dengue disease took the life of other two people.

At a meeting with medical institutions' chiefs in Asuncion, health minister Carlos Morinigo announced "we declare an alert...to fight against this disease."

Minister Morinigo also sent an appeal for lending a hand in obliterating breeding grounds of the Aedes aegypti mosquito.

The minister then raised fears all around the "larval infestation" that has the ability to help transmit and spread dengue.
