Repatriation of IDPs in Afghanistan to start on Feb 26


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) MIRAN SHAH: The political administration of North Waziristan Agency announced second phase of repatriation of displaced families of the agency who fled to Afghanistan's Khost province after military operation Zarb-e-Azb was started against militants. In a hand out issued here, the administration said that around 4329 families IDPs would be brought back during the second phase.

It said that families whose pre-registration forms have, so far, not received by the political administration would be repatriated in third phase.

All arrangements have been finalized to bring back IDPs via Ghulam Khan crossing and would be transported to IDPs camp in Bannu. Thousands of families from North Waziristan had fled to Afghanistan after the military operation was launched against militants. The government has repatriation many of them while over 4329 families are still living in camps in Afghanistan.
