(MENAFN) The local fire services declared the death of a woman aged 59 for the heavy rains in central Greece.
The woman sank into raging water of the flash flood stream in a mountainous area in Evoia, 180 km north of Athens, while her daughter of the age 27 was held into a tree branch.
Local governments have been wary of the dangerous conditions of heavy rain that flooded streams and landslides in central Greece.
Meteorologists spread awareness about possible weather escalation in the following days.
