Jordan- National team to set up strategic plan for medical tourism


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, February 24 (Petra) - Minister of Health Mahmoud Al-Sheyyab decided to form a national team to set up a national strategic plan for medical tourism.

"The formation of the team comes within translating the government's approach to institutionalize national efforts to promote and develop medical tourism and take the necessary measures to push it forward," said Hatem al-Azrai, spokesman for the ministry.

He added that members of the team, which is headed by the Secretary General of the Higher Health Council Mohammed Al-Tarawneh, include President of the Private Hospitals Association Fawzi Al-Hamouri and representatives of the Ministries of Health, Tourism and Antiquities, the Jordan Tourism Board, the Royal Medical Services, the Jordanian Hotels Association, and Jordan Restaurants Association (JRA).
