Vienna, 04 Jumada II,1439 AH, 20 February,2018 , SPA -- Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir met here today Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations and exchanged views on latest international developments.
In a press conference with his Austrian counterpart, Minister Al-Jubeir said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is making every effort to achieve progress in Yemen, noting that the Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates announced the comprehensive humanitarian plan in Yemen, stressing at the same time the opening of all ports in Yemen as much as possible.
He added, "Yemen is our neighbor, we are working to improve its situations, and we support the mission of the international envoy in Yemen. Most of Yemeni territories have been recovered from rebel Houthis," noting that Houthi militias are responsible for the deterioration of situations in many Yemeni areas and villages, also responsible for the recruitment of children as well as the targeting of many civilians and the launch of ballistic missiles towards the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which is a violation of international resolutions and sovereignty.
On Qatar, Minister Al-Jubeir stressed, "Qatar has still been pursuing its behavior, has not stopped funding and supporting terrorism, spreading hatred and terrorism, practicing that in a number of countries, and if it stops that, the boycotting countries will be ready to resume normal relations with it".
He stressed that the exchange of visits and views with friends on a continuing basis contributes to enhancing stability in the region.
For her part, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Austria described relations between the Republic of Austria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as strong.
