Oman- Kerala Wing Youth Festival competitions to be held in April

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Kerala Wing of the Indian Social Club Oman has decided to hold its art and literary competitions for all age groups and is open for all Indians residing in the sultanate.

The various competitions gauging the participants' talent in dance, music and literature will be held at various venues and start from the second week of April. Application forms, item schedule, rules and regulations are available at Indian Social Club office in Darsait and also can be downloaded from the Kerala Wing's website: www.isckeralawing.org and its Facebook page. The last date for the submission of application forms is February 28.

The winners of the various competitions will be awarded with trophies and certificates. Eminent panel of judges from India as well as Oman will choose the best performers in each category. To encourage participants as a team from a school, a Rolling Trophy will be awarded to the school that scores the maximum. The participants will be informed about the dates for various items over telephone and the details are also updated regularly on the Kerala Wing website and Facebook Page.

Painting, drawing and literary events likepoem writing, essay writing, short story writing in both English and Malayalam languages will be held separately at Indian Social Club Hall at Darsait. Spot entries are available for these events.

This is the largest competition in terms of participation and candidates from all parts of the sultanate have entered the contest. The competitions are held on the lines of the famed youth festivals held in Kerala and a high voltage contest is expected in all the sections: Sub-juniors, juniors, seniors and adult.

The Kerala Wing of the Indian Social Club founded in the year 2001 is a unique organisation in the socio-cultural scenario of the sultanate. The organisation is an alert respondent to the expat community in Oman.
