Israeli settlements doubled in 2017


(MENAFN) The number of settlers in the West Bank rose at nearly twice the rate of the Zionist entity's overall population last year, according to an Israeli official.

The settler population have reached over 435, 000 people in 2017, up 3.4 percent from the previous year. In comparison, Israel's overall population grew 1.8 percent, according to Yaakov Katz.

He says that he anticipates more construction taking into consedration that President Donald Trump, who is pro-Israel, is on office now.

"We have to thank God he sent Trump to be president of the United States," he said.
