(MENAFN) The senior military adviser of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that Lebanon's Hezbollah, which was a movement and an asymmetric fighting force, after its fighting in Syria, transformed into a powerful regular army that stands up to Zionists.
Observing the developments in the region especially Syria, a weakening of the
Lebanese Hezbollah and Resistance axis states, including and particularly Syria and the safeguard of the Zionist regime, senior military adviser to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Iranian General Yahya Rahim Safavi sees that those were the geostrategic goals of the United States for the region.
"The United States also wants to dismember Iraq and Syria, if they can one day " just as they are determined to weaken Iran's influence in Iraq and Syria and prevent the creation of the Iran / Iraq / Syria / Mediterranean strategic axis," said Maj. Gen. Safavi.
The military adviser also said that "yhe reality is that Iran has gained weight and influence in the region.In Syria, the Iran / Russia / Hezbollah coalition has won while the USA / Turkey / Jordan / Israel coalition has failed after 83 months of fighting."
Talking about Hezbollah he said that the Lebanese resistance group "which was an asymmetric fighting force, has transformed itself, with its fighting in Syria, into a powerful regular army that can defend Lebanon and its people against the Zionists."
