7 Daesh militants eliminated in Kunar drone strike
(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) ASADABAD (Pajhwok): Seven Daesh (Islamic State) rebels have been killed in a drone strike in the Chapa Dara district of eastern Kunar province, an official said on Saturday.
Deputy police chief Mohammad Zaman Ayyar told Pajhwok Afghan News the US forces struck a Daesh hideout in the Degal area of the district late on Friday.
He said seven IS insurgents, including a notorious commander, were killed in the raid. Civilians suffered no casualties in the attack, he added.
There has been no word from Daesh so far.
