Turkey discloses details of negotiations between Erdogan and Tillerson

During the recent meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson in Ankara, the Turkish side put forward a number of demands, the Turkish media reported Feb. 16.

Reportedly, first of all, Turkey demanded the US to immediately stop to support terrorists from the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG).

The sides discussed the situation in Syria and Iraq, as well as the fight against terrorism.

On Jan. 20, the Turkish Armed Forces, together with the Free Syrian Army, launched the Operation Olive Branch in Afrin, Syria.

F-16 fighters of the Turkish Air Force are involved in the operation, inflicting strikes on the positions of PYD/YPG on the Syrian-Turkish border.
